Pender County is one of the fastest-growing areas in NC. Hampstead sits in a sweet spot — affordable compared to Wilmington, with easy beach access, great schools, and a strong sense of community.
Schools
Pender County Schools are well-regarded. Topsail High, Middle, and Elementary schools serve Hampstead and are consistently rated among the best in the county. Many families cite schools as a major draw.
Real Estate
Median home prices in Hampstead are significantly lower than Wilmington while offering comparable quality of life. New construction, waterfront lots, and established communities are all available.
